I know I sound like a coral music geek for liking Eric Waitacre's music, but it's so damn beautiful. He has fucking amazing crunch cords and his lyrics r to die for. Anyone else like him? If you've never heard of him, and u like coral muscic or just pretty music in general, check it out cause u don't really know what ur missing out on. Even my stepmom, who doesn't like coral music loves his stuff. My fve songs r, "Water Night." "Sleep." "a boy and a girl," "Lux Orumque," "She Weeps Over Rahoon," and "This Marriage."
Yes, Widicer is the most amazing modern choral composer. I've done, both in my high school select choir and in my after-school choir, a lot of Widicer. He's the favorite composer of our choral department. We've done Lux Aurumque, Sleep, This Marrage (which my after-school choir sang at our conductor's wedding" and we have just started Water Night. They are all very beautiful and the discinences in every song only makes the music more exotic.
Eric Whitacre is one of my favorite choral composers. I've had the luxury of performing water night, and cloudburst. But the one I love the most, and have performed, is Leonardo and His Flying Machine. If you haven't heard it, check it out, it's pretty intense!
I just had the very great pleasure of performing my new all time fave song, "A Boy and A girl," in my chamber singers class! Oh man that was extremely moving, beauticking amazing. I want to do sleep so badly but AI don't think we will get to Water night, Lux,and this marriage move me to almost tears each time, especially last year when chambers performed Lux in a cathedral in Ireland. I was crying just watching them.

I amm a retard cause that song is "Cloud burst." Lmfao. anyway, I met God himself... The man is soooooooooo gorgeous... He is seriously so cool and very sweet. Wow... He directed songs from each high school that was at the workshop... Some include, "Animal Crackers," heehee love that song, "With a lilly in her hand," add that to my fave list of songs, "This Marriage," "Go Lovely Rose," "A Boy and a girl," and "Water night," which was our song. His laugh was so damn infectious. Whenever he heard something he liked, he would giggle like crazy and the rest of us would automatically giggle too Another choir did, "Stolen Child," which is a new one and that's amazing "Leonardo dreams of his flying machine?" Holy shit!!!!!!!!! As a group, we all did "Lux," to open the show, and another fave "Her sacred Spirit Soars." But the best moment was the closing of the show. As a group, the 6 high schools performed, "Sleep," and God that was sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful.
